How does Brookridge Heights monitor fire and security systems?

Our community is staffed around-the-clock with trained team members on site to monitor our fire and life safety systems, and to activate evacuation procedures in the event of an emergency.

What surveillance or entry controls are in place?

24-hour staffing is on-site to support resident safety and operations. Team members are available at all times and a front desk concierge is present during designated hours. Access to the community is controlled through keys, fobs, or passcodes issued only to residents and authorized staff. Community entrances are secured after hours, with monitored access procedures in place to help prevent unauthorized entry while allowing residents, guests, and staff to enter safely as needed. These measures are designed to promote a secure, welcoming environment while respecting resident independence and privacy.

How do you manage falls or emergencies?

Our specially trained staff is on site 24/7/365 to support residents through falls, illness, and medical emergencies. We never hesitate to call 911 if a resident needs more advanced care. Learn more about our safety commitment here.

Is the building designed to be easy to navigate?

Yes! Clearly visible signage is located throughout the community to help residents and families navigate to dining, events, and fun.

Are memory support outdoor areas secured and monitored?

Yes! Research shows that being outside is great for your physical, mental, and emotional health, so we make sure our residents have ample opportunity to get outdoors in a safe, secure way.

Do you have a backup power source and natural disaster plan?

Never worry about a power outage again! Our community is equipped with a backup power source, so our residents are never in the dark. In the event of a natural disaster, we have comprehensive evacuation plans. You can see a comprehensive planning info sheet here

Are hallways and common areas easy to navigate with walkers or wheelchairs?

Yes! Brookridge Heights was purposefully designed with wide hallways and doorways so they’re easy to use with a walker or wheelchair. You can learn more about our design here.

Can residents lock their apartments for privacy and security?

Yes. Residents are provided with a key to their private apartment.

How do you keep the environment calming for residents who become agitated easily?

Our residents living with memory impairment can become anxious or upset. To help them feel at ease, we’ve carefully selected artwork that evokes comfort, and we use aromatherapy to help relieve stress and enhance mood. Learn more about our approach to memory support here.

What infection control measures are in place?

At Brookridge Heights, we want everyone to stay healthy, even during peak cold, flu, and COVID seasons. That’s why we have enhanced cleaning practices in place year-round. Touchless disinfection and sanitation help keep surfaces clean and prevent the spread of infectious diseases. Learn more about our safety measures here.
