Elegance Berkeley has been designed to achieve GreenPoint Rated Gold Certification, as mandated by the state of California. GreenPoint is an independent, third-party verification system that emphasizes energy efficiency, water conservation, indoor air quality, resource conservation, and livable communities.  

We are an urban-infill, mixed-use development in a designated brownfield site, utilizing an adaptable, universal building design. Our environmentally conscious features include:  

  • Low-emission, 30% post-consumer or 60% post-industrial recycled content in insulation in walls and floors 
  • Minimal grass turf in landscape design to reduce water usage 
  • Durable, fire-resistant cladding and roofing materials
