Day-to-day details are handled by a highly trained, informed and caring staff, so you have more time to participate in curated social, cultural and exercise opportunities, including continual learning and intergenerational arts programs. You’ll also enjoy seasonal, locally sourced, nutritious meals in a choice of dining venues.
Well-Being
Our Philosophy
We believe a thoughtfully designed environment filled with good neighbors and a caring staff, along with nutritious food, accessible exercise programs and opportunities to connect and engage every day, are the right combination for optimal living.
For older people living alone, these important elements can become harder to maintain – making home a challenging, unsafe, even lonely place to be.
That’s why we offer a community for older people where living is easier, surroundings are safer – and together is better.

From Our Executive Director
“I couldn’t be more excited to serve the uniquely active and engaged older adults of Berkeley. Elegance Berkeley is purposefully designed to make urban living easier and more accessible, while offering robust opportunities for its residents to continue to learn, lead and participate. It’s a progressive, holistic approach to senior living that will be a vital part of our city for years to come.”
