Locally built & owned – by brothers with lifelong roots in Berkeley 

Elegance Berkeley is the vision of two brothers who grew up in the Bay Area and went to school in Berkeley. Ali Kia Shabahangi and Amir Kia are Principals of Spirit Living Group, and have dedicated the last 25 years of their career in creating beautiful communities for seniors where self-expression and joy can flourish. 
 
Ali graduated from UC Berkeley, and Amir holds a Masters from the Graduate Theological Union and serves on the board of Golestan School in Berkeley.

Ali and Amir agree, “When Bay Area elders choose to live here, they don’t feel as though they’ve moved away from their lives and the things that give them purpose. In fact, it is easier than ever for them to participate in the local experiences they enjoy, with opportunities to interact with their Berkeley neighbors of all generations.”
