Situated on 16-plus acres in a park-like setting, Anchor Bay at Pocasset is a bright, warm senior living community located near Rhode Island Hospital, Providence Place Mall, fine dining at Federal Hill, as well as Downtown Providence, and Johnston Memorial Park. Wake up every day in a safe, intentionally designed living space. We tend to the cooking, housekeeping and home maintenance so you can participate in social, cultural and exercise programs including happy hours, walking clubs and seasonal crafts. Choose from a menu of seasonal, nutritious, chef-prepared dishes in the dining room.

Enjoy discreet, supportive care, a maintenance-free lifestyle including scheduled transportation, and boutique amenities. Spend every day living fully and experiencing greater well-being.

Well-Being

Our Philosophy

We believe a thoughtfully designed environment filled with good neighbors and a caring staff, along with nutritious food, accessible exercise programs and opportunities to connect and engage every day, are the right combination for optimal living.

For older people living alone, these important elements can become harder to maintain – making home a challenging, unsafe, even lonely place to be.

That’s why we offer a community for older people where living is easier, surroundings are safer – and together is better.

How we’re showing gratitude in August

For leaving our minds better than you found them – thank you, teachers.

Teachers influence the future by awakening curiosity, confidence and creativity, and opening our minds to possibilities. As educators head back to the classroom this month, we’re showing our gratitude by supporting their essential work and sharing personal stories of those who made a difference in our lives.

Come see how we’re celebrating teachers in August at one of our featured events!

Such a wonderful community! The committed team members work together for the benefit of the residents and to provide them with a wonderful place to live. The community is bright and cheerful, with natural light pouring in everywhere, displaying... beautiful areas of nature and manicured outdoor spaces. Creative and engaging experiences are offered in both Assisted Living and Memory Support, much to the delight of the residents.read more

My parents, Bob and Cecile, have been part of the Anchor Bay community for two years, and frequently mention how happy they are there, how well they are being treated, and how careful everyone there was during the pandemic. Thank you!

My mom is happily engaged daily with exercise opportunities, word games, entertainers, seasonal field trips, films and new friends. Shout out to Dan, Genevieve, Juliana, Sam and Leandro. I enjoy seeing your posts on FaceBook

From what I can see, it seems to be a pretty nice place compared to a lot of other assisted living facilities I have seen around Rhode Island and Massachusetts. I visited only briefly in January of 2022, place seems clean no odd smells, residents... seem relatively happy.read more

Love working here....is has given me a real sense of accomplishment and pride to have been working here the past year. The residents are definitely a top reason that i go into work, every single day, with a smile. Then add in my fellow co workers... and upper management and it creates a work atmosphere that one could only hope for! With Paul, Matt, n Calvin in the kitchen, Nate and 2 Michele's in housekeeping, Courtney And Denise in sales, Sheryl Dawn, Jen, and Steph @the front desk, and Robin n Kim in the office, and all other staff i have the privilege working with....makes it all worth it! Everyone is so friendly. Servers are hard working, especially Victor in dining. The residents are so appreciative of everything we do for them. It’s a great pleasure to go to work everyday.

Where do I begin...My mom died suddenly and we needed a place for our dad to be safe and happy in almost an instant. We went to lunch twice in one week w/dad in the restaurant and again looked at the various available rooms. The staff was so patient... w us and very helpful as we worked diligently to convince our dad this was the place he needed to be. Well fast forward 3 years and my dad couldn't be happier! He is getting more exercise now walking the corridors to and from the elevator with his walker and couldn't be happier with all the friends he has made and the daily activities he takes part in. The transportation they provide is a big plus as we don't have to take time off from work to bring him to doctor's visits, and as you know once you pass 90 you have many!! The cleanliness of Anchor Bay is a 10+, the facility itself beautiful and staff are always so pleasant. Safety and security during Covid has been top notch as they are following strict RIDOH guidelines and have kept all residents HAPPY AND SAFE while the facility still is operating under restrictions per guidelines. Families are given regular weekly Covid updates by the director, Robin Pimental, via email which reassures us our dad continues on his daily activities and continues to be safe. If there has been a question or concern in the past w dad, Robin has promptly called us back to answer any questions we have had. So, as you can see we are extremely happy our dad resides at Anchor Bay and now at 91 he believes in longevity and looking forward to one day becoming a centenarian!!read more

My parents moved in over a year ago, the day before their 70th wedding anniversary on July 4th. AB graciously hosted a party for them and their family (16 people) on July 4th!! They have been very accommodating this past year, even through the... difficult COVID season. I know they are all wearing many hats while family cannot go into visit. So, THANK YOU!!read more

I've worked at this wonderful establishment since I was 16 years old, and I'll be turning 20 soon. I started in dining and slowly moved my way to reception, as well as just helping out with various tasks needed. All of the staff are absolutely... wonderful and some of the most caring and genuine people I have ever met. Each of the residents puts a smile on my face every single day, and I feel so blessed to have so many encouraging and loving people around me.read more
