Well-Being

Our Philosophy

We believe a thoughtfully designed environment filled with good neighbors and a caring staff, along with nutritious food, accessible exercise programs and opportunities to connect and engage every day, are the right combination for optimal living.

For older people living alone, these important elements can become harder to maintain – making home a challenging, unsafe, even lonely place to be.

That’s why we offer a community for older people where living is easier, surroundings are safer – and together is better.

Megan (facilities manager), Crystal (DON), Muriel (ADON), Samantha (RN) and Derrick (Chef Walker, Director of Culinary) were so good to my mother. They all had small touches that made my mom's stay wonderful. When I was out of town, they took... special care sending me photos to assure me she was okay. My mom always had a smile and was always healthy, telling me, they are "all good to me." I thank God that she chose this facility for herself.read more

We love St. Augustine Plantation! The front porch and the warm homelike environment was perfect for my loved one. Megan and Crystal are incredible. We would be lost without them.

Lakeshia Corbett, a caregiver in the Memory Care unit, is a true example of the kind of person families want to be with their loved one. She not only cares for the residents, she cares ABOUT her residents. During the lockdown she would text me... when she worked to ask if there was anything special she needed to do for my husband. Need more Lakeshias.read more

The community has long tenured associates who truly care about the residents and staff. Tniyah, Crystal and Megan are helpful, caring and responsive. They consider this community their own. Thank you for all you do.

My mother-in-law has been at St. Augustine Plantation for a little over 5 years. I have seen how pleased my wife is with the care given to her mother. All of the staff at SAP is extraordinary, especially during these difficult times dealing with the... pandemic, but she has highlighted these special persons for recognition: Kelsey Saunders, who handles transportation for medial appointments and so much more. His kindness in dealing with persons with cognitive problems is so touching; Crystal Brown, the head nurse of the wonderful nursing staff, always available to deal with whatever needs to be dealt with; Tamarion Lindsey, a medical technician, who stays on top of all prescriptions; and Samantha Campbell, on the nursing staff, whose gentle compassion is always appreciated. By naming these four, so many others are being left out, but please know we appreciate all of your efforts.read more

My husband has been at St Augustine Plantation for almost 7 months, and I think the staff has done an awesome job of making the best of the very difficult situation caused by the COVID-19. They do their best to keep life as interesting as possible... for the residents, and they clearly care a lot for the people there. I've also really appreciated the updates about what's going on.read more

My Dad has been living at SAP since December of 2017 and I am very pleased with his care. I particularly want to give extra kudos to Dave and Austin both nurses that have gone out of their way during this pandemic to aide me in making sure my Dad... is receiving the attention and care he needs. Maria and the custodial staff need to be recognized as well. I highly recommend SAP for their assisted living facility. Oh, and Thursday Omelette Breakfast can't be beat. I have eaten in their dining room...excellent taste and portion sized. Thank you to all for going above the call of duty during these unpresident times.read more

So grateful to the dedicated staff at St. Augustine Plantation for taking such tender, constant and excellent care of mom during the COVID shutdown. It has been so difficult to not see her, except on a screen, but they have bent over backwards to... keep us connected. And on our video monitor, I can see how gentle, patient and nurturing the staff is with her. So glad to have the help of SAP in this terribly challenging time.read more
