The Atrium staff; Brian Grinager and Brandy Pate have been wonderful working with us to assist with our questions and concerns! They all have been kind, caring and professional! Absolutely an amazing atmosphere full of caring people that show they take pride in their job. Hannah Strahan and the other diner staff who waited on us, were fantastic as well, so caring and attentive to serve us! Thank you all, looking forward to seeing the entire Atrium staff in our future visits.
Response from the owner: Thank you Danny for your wonderful review! We’re thrilled to hear Brian, Brandy, Hannah, and the rest of our team provided such a caring and professional experience. We look forward to welcoming you back on future visits! Kind regards, Alison

TL/DR: The Atrium at Serenity Pointe is a senior living facility I am very comfortable recommending for numerous reasons.Learned so much about senior living in January when my child & I toured facilities (6-7 total) in Little Rock and Hot Springs. My parents were living independently in a 2 story house but had recently begun falling in the yard & we were fearful of what could happen later. We narrowed our list & toured our narrowed list of facilities with my sister & parents. My child observed things based on their experiences working in a group behavioral home & asked questions about cameras (when they were seen in common areas of facilities), where they are monitored/who monitors them, what is done with the video footage, passing of medication & security/storage of medicine carts. Facilities we eliminated were usually due to poor practices in those areas. Other facilities were eliminated due to staffing concerns or their answers to questions we generated after visiting sixfacilities.Brian G gave excellent tours of the facility, reached out to determine where we were in the process without being overbearing , & answered each question we had thoroughly. When we toured with my parents, he made sure to talk to them & tell them about The Atrium. Other facilities we toured spoke to only the people who wouldn't be living in the facility OR were very hurried/snippy with senior members. Our family chose The Atrium. The amenities are very nice and when my child and I first visited, we wondered if the facility was nicer than what my parents would want & if any of the amenities would be used. The amenities provided (indoor pool, theapy/exercise room, movie room, bar, pool room, craft room, activity room, dog park, transportation, garden, outdoor gazebo as well as dining room) are well maintained. The activities planned for the residents are varied. My dad's criteria for a place to live was a place he could have his reclining chair to watch TV and read so I fully did not expect him to participate in any activities. However, he now is a regular bingo player and sporadically attends social hours.During the tour, we joked that they must schedule some of the residents to cross paths as Brian - as a marketing and sales person who would not have much day to day interaction with the residents - knew their names, stopped to talk, and the residents told us about their experiences. After my parents moved in and we visited, we learned that Brian knows all the residents and will stop and engage with them when he is out in the facility. Each month the activity staff (Dee and Jennifer) have a larger event (talent show, Mother's Day Tea, Senior Prom, later this year a family picnic); these are in addition to the weekly activities such as bingo, walks to the pointe, movies, church services, crafts, exercise, conversation, and social hours. Additionally, they schedule entertainment in frequently such as singers, pianists, and tap dancers). The dining staff led by director Corey also have a monthly food activity event (Resident Appreciation, Valentine's Day special meal, St Patrick's Day Pub, Mother's Day brunch).Maintenance and Housekeeping staff do a great job keeping the common areas clean and the residents' apartments clean and well maintained. "Work orders" (change light bulb, fix window blinds) are submitted to the receptionist/concierge and are taken care of quickly.Director Tabatha (who started sometime in January) seems to have taken the time to get to know residents as well as frequent family visitors. Ellen, director of memory care, seems to enjoy her job.Concierges Sherry (who I have heard is now working in sales and marketing) & Linda are friendly ladies who efficiently address residents' needs (inputting work orders, scheduling transportation to appointments) while also answering phone and greeting visitors.Nursing staff Mike (usually in mem. care) Liz and Chiyako are caring & efficient; I am so glad that they are on staff at The Atrium and hope they know how appreciated they are by residents' families.
