Putting a loved one in a facility is never easy. But unfortunately, they can reach a place where living safely at home is no longer feasible. I came from out of state to assist my stepfather who is 96 years old. After touring numerous facilities in the area, I went with Symphony. One of the first things I noticed and that drew me to Symphony was the activity I witnessed. Many residents were engaged with one another, and there was a large assembly of people playing Bingo or sitting outside getting sun in the courtyard. Other times I've witnessed live music and cooking classes. There is even a salon downstairs that provides haircuts and other services. Symphony didn't have a depressed feeling that many assisted living centers are known for. Since my stepfather moved to Symphony, I've had numerous interactions with their staff. Their leadership, Izaick and Stephanie, are highly responsive and follow up quickly with questions. Their head nurse, Natacha, is kind and on top of things including providing detailed updates of progress and medication changes. Again, there is rarely an "ideal" when placing a loved one outside their home, but Symphony has done a great job lessening this burden, and my family is grateful to them. Highly recommended.
Response from the owner:Thank you NJ for your heartfelt review and recommendation. We’re truly honored to have earned your trust and are grateful you chose Symphony at Stuart. Knowing your stepfather is engaged, supported, and well cared for means the world to us. Kind regards, Alison

My parents have been at Symphony for close to 2 years. Over those two years we have had the opportunity to get to to know the staff as my parents have required more care. As a frequent visitor here's what I notice:

While I know there is turnover, I notice that we have been fortunate to retain quite a number of the staff. I have the utmost confidence in the director, Isaic, who arrived just as we did. He has been super responsive to all of my questions and requests. I think it says a lot that you can see him managing staff one minute, and fixing chairs and chatting with the residents the next minute. They have treated my parents with dignity. I love the front desk staff, espcially Sal who is just so willing to help. Again, he can be a front desk person for the day and then I see him helping the staff serve dinner. He knows the residence and is so very kind. I am especially impressed with the dining staff, many in the evening are young and they are so great with the residents, and believe me, the residents can be spicy and sometimes a bit grumpy. I love that Ethan (who I think is rather new) is always smiling and joking with everyone. He's pretty special. I like that the activities director (and I think I have the title wrong), Josh, is so approachable and inclusive. He (as do many of the staff) goes out of his way to ensure that life is enjoyable for everyone. I love that he's done for the day but will come to the dining room, and talk to the residents instead of bolting out (I'd bolt!). There is a certain love of what they do that shows. The facility is also fresh, clean, and maintained. It is as close to perfection as I can hope for and I am confortable that my parents are being treated well and are supported by a community (residents and staff) when I am long distance. I know I can reach out to Isaic or Natacha (oversees the patient medical needs) and they will always respond and explain. I really couldn't ask for more.
Response from the owner:Thank you Darlene for your heartfelt review! We’re so grateful for your kind words and thrilled to hear about the positive experiences you and your parents have had at Symphony at Stuart. Your appreciation for our dedicated team means the world to us! Warm regards, Alison
